The Puerto Rican mattress manufacturer and retailer opened its fourth Central Florida location this week as part of its expansion into the U.S. with a new shopping concept that blends e-commerce with in-store shopping.
ORLANDO, Fla. – Dec.4, 2018 –Global Mattress, a renowned Puerto Rican mattress manufacturer and retailer, opens its fourth Central Florida store this week in Sanford, staying on track to open a total of six stores in the region within two years.
The 3,008 square-foot store at 4700 west State Road 46, suite B in Sanford showcases all Global Mattress’ lines and mattress styles, including the reversible option, a first in the local market. All mattresses come with a one hundred-night, hassle-free warranty that allows for return or exchange of the merchandise if the customer is not fully satisfied. Some conditions apply.
“We continue to expand our presence in Central Florida and to sink roots in this community that has embraced us,” said operations director Javier Tejeda. “People spend a third of their lives sleeping on mattresses, buying one should not be taken lightly but it should not be difficult either. The Global Mattress shopping experience is pressure-free, in a beautiful environment where customers can pick at ease the mattress style that best suits them. A new store is a new opportunity to help our clients have better sleep and a better life.”
Global Mattress manufactures its own products, skipping the middle man and passing on the savings to its customers. Earlier this year, Global Mattress opened three stores in Central Florida at 901 Currency Circle in Lake Mary, 6835 S. Conway Rd. #400, Orlando and 3273 Vineland Rd., Kissimmee.
With 16 thriving showrooms in Puerto Rico and a busy e-commerce site, Global Mattress selected Florida as the launch pad for its mainland U.S. expansion in part because of the robust numbers of the Puerto Rican population here, as well as a healthy local economy that facilitates introducing the brand to new market segments.
Founded in 1987, Global Mattress evolved from a single, family-owned store to a company with manufacturing facilities and 16 showrooms in the island. The expansion to Central Florida takes place at a time of historic-level migration of Puerto Rican individuals and businesses to the region, ready to contribute and participate in the local economy. Two other showrooms are in the planning stages for 2019. Each store represents an investment of approximately $850,000.
